Cattle at Newton Farms
Cattle have been at Newton Farms since the early 1970’s with Henry Hurrell starting the herd.
Suckler Cows are an important part of Newton Farms. Our cows are grass fed and spend most of the year grazing the parkland around Newton Manor. The herd consists of continental crossed cows with an Aberdeen Angus or Limousin Bull. Calves are either fattened for local markets or sold as store cattle for other farmers to finish. We pride ourselves on having the cleanest, healthiest and happiest cattle around.
In 2016 Newton Farms diversified and expanded into contract finishing dairy bulls. We supply Morrison and McDonald’s with top quality beef from a fully assured, high health herd.
